Eastern Animal Hospital
Overview
The project was a new freestanding 2-story small animal veterinary hospital and boarding facility located in Baltimore, Maryland. This facility is approximately 21,000 square feet and includes surgery, isolation room, treatment, exam spaces, canine and feline wards, x-ray suite, doggy daycare, offices, conference rooms, and staff lounge.
design scope
The mechanical systems included standard domestic plumbing systems and fire protection. A roof top package gas heating and DX cooling system with zones was installed with UV light to eliminate pathogens. A separate auxiliary cooling system was placed in the surgery suite with HEPA filtration. The electrical systems included standard power and lighting and fire alarm. A total building generator system was designed.
